The wanderings of a female mind can be dangerous in and of themselves, but add definite opinions to those thoughts and you have something that is truly a sight to behold.

First Full Day
Yesterday was my first full day all by myself here in Colorado and it was adventurous. I arrived here on Saturday and spent that day and Sunday unloading boxes and sending off my future father-in-law and my fiance. I was most sad to see them go. Saying goodbye to my love was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I certainly tried hard not to cry but despite my I valiant efforts the tears started rolling down my cheeks and my love had to brush them away as he gave me one last hug goodbye. Monday morning dawned bright and sunny and I started my day by eating a good breakfast and brewing some yummy coffee. Being just moved in I don't have internet access in my place yet, so I packed my laptop up and headed for the grocery store down the street. Mr. Darcy and I had found the day before that they offered free WiFi and this would be my internet spot until I had my own. Once there I spent a couple of hours finding out what I could about internet providers and looking up all the locations of the places I needed to go and mapping out my travel plans for the day. I then walked about two miles to the bank. While walking I called a friend from back home and chatted about my trip here and the occurrences of the past two days. When not on the phone I was enjoying the absolutely gorgeous weather here and the beautiful countryside. Yes, I think I may be falling in love with Colorado. Once at the bank I took care of what I needed to and started trekking down the street to a transit center to catch a bus home. It started to rain on me and I decided I better not make the walk. Better to catch a bus and just transfer, which is what I did. However, in between buses I stood in the rain and got a bit wet, but it wasn't bad. I was enjoying the storm. It reminded me of the monsoons in Tucson. The bus took me home and I spent the evening unpacking boxes. I found that the drawers in my kitchen are in bad need of contact paper before I put anything in them, and the cabinets are only slightly better. So, I will be waiting a few days before I put the kitchen things away. Hopefully my dad will come visit me this weekend and I can get a few things I need. I haven't been working now for a little over two weeks and that means money is super tight, so I am learning to live with only that which is completely necessary. It's an adventure! ;) Last night when it was time to go to bed I finally felt the first real loneliness I had felt since leaving home. I had talked to my dad for an hour on the phone and had had short conversations with Mr. Darcy throughout the evening, but it wasn't the same as seeing people. It was dark and cold and rainy outside. The wind was blowing very hard and the house was making creaky noises. I wanted nothing more than to crawl up in the arms of my love and just stay there, but that is not possible right now. So, I called him instead and after talking to him for an hour I finally fell asleep. Over all it was a good day. I know the loneliness will come and go as I adjust to life in a new place but I can't think of a better place to start a new life. Things here are beautiful and the people are very nice, at least up to this point. It's also been amazing to see how God has taken care of me in ways I could not have possibly foreseen. Everything I need is almost right next door to me. Almost as soon as I think of a store or a service I need I find that there is some place just around the corner that has what I need. Yes, being here has been and will continue to be an adventure, but I am enjoying it and I am excited to see what will happen. I will keep you posted!

Exciting!!!!!
I have so much stuff!!!! I can't believe how many things I have accumulated over the past few years. It is an unreal amount of things. But, I am very thankful that for the first time in my life I have some place to put them. I have never really had a room of my own, much less a house of my own, and although the task of putting everything in order has been a big one I am so happy about all the space. My room actually looks great and I don't feel like I have to put clutter all over the place. There is place for each thing which means that I can keep it in order. Yay!!! I hate things being messy but my problem in the past has been that there just wasn't any room for it anywhere else besides a huge pile hidden in the closet. Now there are shelves and cabinets and drawers for everything and that makes me so happy. In case you missed it, I have actually been working on the organizing part of moving into my house and I have gotten a lot done this week. I am at that point where the stress is not bad and I am really excited about doing things and getting things done. My friend and I went shopping last night and stayed up super late arranging my room and I am thrilled with the outcome. It is not finished by any means, but it is well on its way to looking great. It's funny too how it all worked out because I had a certain idea in my head of what I wanted and my friend had a certain idea too, but we couldn't find the things we needed to make it happen. Then, all of a sudden, it was all right in front of us and it worked out really well. I can't wait until it is all done to see what the end result will look like! It will be a room that is all my own with unique decorations and arrangements that are me. I love it! I am also happy about what the rest of the house is shaping up to look like. It's just going to be great! Ok, I just realized I a gushing and I guess I should stop. LOL. Sorry. I almost can't help it. I am so excited right now. Actually, there are so many things that I am excited about right now that it is hard for me not to go off on just about anyone about the million and one things going on in my life right now. There are so many things happening and so many good things about to happen. I can't wait to see what the end results will be. So, I guess that's sort of what I am up to for now.

A Note
I'm always amazed at the incredible turns in the road I seem to stumble across in this journey known as life. Just when I think I have things figured out something comes along and everything changes. I have experienced more change in the past two weeks than I ever have before. It's certainly not a bad thing, but it has been hard to deal with. Thankfully I have had the time to recuperate this past week and so I feel much better and able to handle things. I have been dealing with hurt, grief, confusion, and loss, and somewhere in the middle of all this I am in love. It's a wild and wacky mix but it's me for now. What amazes me most about everything is the way the Lord has put people on my path to help me during this time. I have some great friends that have been so helpful and supportive, a man that amazes me with his strength and support and his ability to care, and an unexpected new acquaintance that has proven to be just the encouraging voice I need at this moment. God has been so good to me and I am so thankful for His constant care for me and His watching out for me. Without Him how lost I would be.

The Last Four Days
I have been in East Texas for that past four days and it was quite the adventure. I drove there with my seven siblings. A 20 hour drive with all of us in one vehicle -- imaging all the "fun" we had! Actually, it was a pretty good time. There were a lot of laughs, some grumpiness, and a whole lot of sleeping to waste away the time. When we got to our destination we spent two days with my massive family. There were at least 40 members of my family that we said hello to and visited with. At the end of each day we were exhausted just from talking all day. But, it was a good trip. It was really nice to be back in East Texas. The weather was beautiful and the green trees and grass was a nice switch from the Tucson scenery. It was nice to walk down the street, recalling all the summers I spent there. Of course, I learned that walking was not something the locals do. After my second walk down the main city streets I fond out why. My sisters and I had more cat calls and men stopping their cars to talk to us than we ever do in Tucson. So much for a sweet small Southern town! It was really nice to see all my family members again and catch up with everyone on what they had been doing over the past few years. The nicest part of the trip was that fact that I wasn't at work. It always amazes me how God works. My trip wasn't a joy ride by any means, but it did provide an opportunity for some breathing space that I desperately needed and couldn't have come at a more opportune time. Besides, I found some awesome chocolate while I was there and that will keep me happy for at least the next few weeks. All kidding aside, I was afraid the trip would end up being a sad one but the Lord was more than gracious, He spared me and my family from a devastating heartache, and He gave time to spend with each other away from the crazy everyday norm of our lives. I really enjoyed myself, had several really good laughs, shed a few tears, got lots and lots of hugs (yea!!!!), and was happy to return home last night. So, now I am facing the week with a bit more encouragement than I've had in a while and I am hoping things will remain at least calm enough to deal with on a rational level. = ]

Update
It is amazing how your life can change from one day to the next. Yesterday I was really busy with a full schedule in front of me and numerous plans for the rest of the weekend. I was in a car accident in the late morning and everything changed. All my plans went completely out the window. I am now very limited on what I can do because my knee was injured and the doctor's orders were to stay off of it. Oh sheesh! I hate, hate, hate being restrained. Also, I now am a needy person, which I also hate. I am so independent that telling me I need to rely on other people to get things for me or take care of me is quite possible a fate worse than death. But, here I am, staying off my leg so my knee can heal and having to ask people to help me do things. I guess there are worse things though. I am extremely thankful that there weren't any serious outcomes from the accident. All the passengers were banged up and a bit bruised but there were no serious injuries. I'm also thankful for all the support my friends and family gave me. My sister drove to the scene of the accident to bring me some pain meds because my knee was hurting pretty bad. I received numerous phone calls from people wanting to know if we were alright and telling us to call if we needed anything. It was an unpleasant ordeal but it was good to know how much people cared about us. Today I did a lot of relaxing and staying off my feet. It was actually hard for me, but I have managed thus far. This weekend I hope to relax and be able to go back to work Monday with little trouble. So, that's my update on me for now. I'll try to write more later.

My Life Right Now
Ok, so my life is crazy, busy and wicked awesome (as my friend says). July 4th is Wednesday and I have been performing and rehearsing like crazy and the fun won't stop until Thursday. Of course in the midst of all this business I am also trying to make some serious plans about my future and that takes brain energy as well physical and emotional energy. So, needless to say I have been a bit tired of late but the weekend gave me some great sleep catch up and some relaxation, so I think I'm good. I have five performances before my biggest one Wednesday night so I'm thinking the only thing I'm going to do Wednesday during the day is see Bruce Willis' new movie "Live Free of Die Hard". Actually, there are three or four movies I want to see but that one is at the top of my list at the moment. I haven't seen a good action movie in quite a while and it's been even longer since I saw one in theaters. I think the third Lord of the Rings was the last thing like that I saw in a theater. Sad, I know, but there are more important things to do in life. ;) Anyway, so my life has been slightly less than chaotic and thus the reason for the sad number of posts, but I can guarantee you that is going to change, especially in the next couple of days. I have several things I want to post and I don't know if I will get to all of them but I will attempt. So. sorry if you've kept checking my page and been annoyed that there weren't any updates. I hope my explanation leaves me room for forgiveness. I promise to do better.
